L’accord parfait prévaut chez Silver Wolf Music, le magasin de musique pas comme les autres de Sébastien Loup et Michaël Roudier.

« On a hâte d’ouvrir chaque matin ! » lance le duo avec enthousiasme. L’idée du grand saut germe un soir de Fête de la Musique, alors que les deux amis se produisent avec leur groupe de blues. Architecte, Sébastien vend son cabinet, Michaël abandonne son poste de responsable achats dans l’automobile, pour ouvrir un espace dévolu au bon son. Ils y organisent des sessions live de pros et d’amateurs filmées puis diffusées sur les réseaux sociaux : les Wolf Sessions rencontrent un succès immédiat. Des guitares Yamaha au dernier exemplaire en France d’une Zemaitis, ou aux batteries Ludwig et Gretsch qu’ils vendent, ils prennent la mesure de l’essentiel en musique : échanger. À l’unisson, ils insistent pour « se mettre au service du musicien tant pour le conseil technique qu’artistique » et font essayer le matériel, « parce qu’un instrument, ça se joue ». Créatif, Sébastien construit des amplis guitare à lampes sur-mesure Wolf, tandis que Michaël promeut les artistes locaux. La parfaite harmonie. « Quand Mika conseille un client, il crée du lien. »… « Quand Séb répare un instrument, je sais qu’il est méticuleux. » Ce jour-là, un guitariste fait courir des accords de flamenco, un jeune homme ose le rock, un troisième les rejoint pour une impro sur du Neil Young. La musique fédératrice, c’est tout l’esprit du lieu.

Perfect harmony reigns at Silver Wolf Music, a music shop that stands out from the crowd, owned by Sébastien Loup and Michaël Roudier.

“We can’t wait to open up in the morning!” chorus the duo enthusiastically. The idea of making the big leap emerged one evening at the annual Music Festival, when the two friends were performing with their blues group. Sébastien, an architect, sold his office and Michaël left his job as Purchasing Manager in the car industry, to open a place dedicated to good music. They organised live sessions with professional and amateur musicians, which were filmed and then posted on social networks: the Wolf Sessions were an instant success. From Yamaha guitars to the latest Zemaitis in France, or to the Ludwig and Gretsch drum kits they sell, they are at the heart of what matters in music: sharing it. Together they insist on “being there to advise musicians on both technical and artistic aspects,” and having customers try out the equipment, “because an instrument is there to be played.”  Sébastien has a creative streak and builds customized Wolf full tube guitar amps, while Michaël promotes local artists.  Perfect harmony. “When Mika advises a client, he connects with them.” “When Séb repairs an instrument, I know he’s totally meticulous.” The day I was there a guitar player was trying out some flamenco chord progressions, a young guy was experimenting with rock music and a third joined them for a jam session of some Neil Young songs.  Music to bring people together is what SWM is all about.
